A FEMALE teacher who had sex with two pupils, including on a foreign trip with one boy’s family, has avoided jail.

Haeli Wey, 29, slept with one teen 10 times before moving onto a second student who she romped with in a hammock.

Wey, who also sent raunchy nude selfies, pleaded guilty Friday to two charges of improper relationship with the 17-year-olds.

But her lawyer said she will get probation rather than prison time when sentenced next month.

The teacher met the first boy at a student programme in June 2015 before going with him and his family on a ministry trip in Africa.

A police report said: “The victim said while in Africa his relationship with Ms. Wey become more personal and on a deeper level.

“The victim stated while in Africa their relationship became physical.”

Their two-month affair continued until he heard Wey had gone on a hike with another pupil.

In one message to the second boy she said she could bring a hammock along for the walk.

Wey later told him to get rid of online conversations between them because she feared they were fuelling rumours about their fling.

She texted him: “Delete our convo (sic) from Instagram please and don't let anyone get a hold of ur (sic) phone.”

The first boy then told his parents about his relationship with Wey and they called the cops.

The second student told investigators they had “sexual contact” after Wey took out the hammock when they were on a secluded trail.

He told detectives he expected to have sex with her on the hike, adding: “A teacher just doesn't hang out with a student to hang out.”

Wey resigned from Westlake High School in Texas, in October 2015.

Under State law, it is illegal for teachers to have sex with students, even if they are 17, the legal age of consent.

Her lawyer Larry Sauer said at the time: “I think because she’s an attractive young woman, that it’s

drawn a lot more attention than if it was a male.”

District Judge David Wahlberg will sentence her on March 10 after an investigation into probation conditions.

She will not have to register as a sex offender, prosecutor Geoffrey Puryear told MyStatesman.com.
