TWO brothers lunged past court security to launch an attack on the man convicted of murdering their mum yesterday.

Dale Williams, 62, was appearing in an Ohio courtroom on Thursday to be sentenced for gunning down Elizabeth-Pledger-Stewart, 46, in June 2017.

Dramatic footage shows brothers Anthony Dees, 30, and Jerome Stewart, 23, attack Williams as their sister prepares to deliver a victim impact statement.

Williams had earlier pleaded guilty to aggravated murder.

Officers present fought to restrain the brothers and evacuate the courtroom, eventually being forced to use a taser on Stewart.

Stewart can later be seen cooperating with the guards as they tell him to lie on his front and put his hands behind his back.

As he is put in handcuffs, he can be heard saying: “Killed my mother, man. That was my momma.

"She took care of me, bro. Nobody else did.”

Both brothers were placed under arrest and charged with assault and obstructing official business.

MURDERED BY HER EX

Williams shot Pledger-Stewart, with whom he had previously been in a relationship, on a Youngstown street on the morning of June 15 2017.

CCTV footage showed Williams waiting in his van on Pledger-Stewart's route to work for 48 minutes before ramming her car off the road.

He later surrendered to police, who arrived as the shooting took place.

Prosecutors at Williams's trial said Pledger-Stewart had begged for her life but that Williams had told detectives he "didn't have time for that - it was too late".

Just 11 hours before the killing, Pledger-Stewart had filed a police report saying Williams was "upset and was accusing her of seeing someone else" and that he had told her he was going “to get her in the streets”.

Williams's sentencing has now been delayed, but he is facing a prison term of 23 years to life.

'ASSAULT IS A CRIME'

Speaking of the court brawl, Judge Maurine Sweeney told local news outlet 21WFMJ: “You don’t assault anybody. It’s a crime.

"The deputies did a great job.

"They really did. We had several in here.

"And as soon as it erupted, they all came up.

"So they had it under control very quickly.”

Justifying the use of a taser, Sheriff Jerry Greene said: “That’s a less-than-lethal type of use of force.

"And the way that it was used to prevent additional people from getting into the melee, and then eventually deployed on the one individual who would not stop punching, it was almost done picture perfect.”
